Whatever we decide to do, we need to put our heart into it. Heart is Xīn 心 and without it we cannot achieve anything. Heart tells us what we want. If you want to be healthy, the first thing we need the heart to do it. When you meet someone who you like, if you want to become friends, you must put your heart into it.

The next day I went back to Sīfú’s 師父 class and sat and watched. There were some seniors there like Ip Kwong Chiu 葉廣超 and Ip Kwong Kit 葉廣傑, and other seniors like Leung Chong Wai 梁忠威, Raymond Lo, Kwok Tak Yin 郭德賢 and Chu Kei 朱基.

When we practise Tàijíquán 太極拳, we can practise the circle individually, but most of the time we will practise them in form, like Lǎojià 老架 – Old Frame or Xīnjià 新架 New Frame Yīlù —路 – First Form.

I still had two more days left before I would see my Sifu. The next day I went to my Sīfú’s 師父 class, of course Sifu is not there. There were some students practising and some of them were from the mainland.

Whilst he was drinking his wine Lǚ Dòng Bīn 呂洞賓 noticed there was a man looking at him. The man was dressed in a blue robe, he was a little fat and you could see his chest and belly. His head was round and mostly bald, but he had a little bit of hair either side of it.

In Chinese Daoist history there is one famous Daoist who lived in the Táng Dynasty 唐朝, his name was Lǚ Yán 呂嚴. His other name or Zì 字 – other name, was Dòng Bīn, so throughout history he has been called Lǚ Dòng Bīn 呂洞賓.
