28 Constellation Gong Pt 24

“28 Constellations gives us more energy. The sky is very powerful” Sifu Tse

It’s been such a privilege to learn 28 Constellation Gong that has been passed through the generations. It is a very strong form to have achieved this, and brings with it a world of knowledge and a very powerful injection of Sky Qi.

Throughout the seminar Sifu emphasised the form’s focus on strength and the importance of staying strong physically and mentally so we can better withstand life’s ups and downs.

Last seminar we were tested on the knowledge side, memorising the constellations and their meaning which Sifu discussed in depth in the accompanying Qigong Dao articles. So today, the focus was on polishing the form and securing any final details so that we can remember it.

He began by demonstrating the form from start to finish. He then demonstrated the form one stage at a time, with questions and answers. With it being the final seminar we all had many urgent questions and many points were cleared up. These included question:
What does movement “Qian and Kun Change Place” mean? Sifu said, “This move is about Heaven and Earth which is the most important Gua. It is about keeping strength and carrying on even when things are negative, and if you can do that then it is much better,”

Why does form have palm and elbow movements that look like hitting? Sifu said, “Wild Goose is gentle, but Constellation Gong has some strength. The purpose of these movements is to strengthen the joints, shoulder, elbow, and arm. If these are not strong then the lungs and joints will be weak”. Sifu Tse

Sifu finished the seminar by telling us that the jump is about strength and staying strong mentally. He added that the form may be included in the Syllabus where we can then polish it some more which we would all be pleased about. Thank you Sifu for teaching us this form. It has been a wonderful journey for us all.

A long journey has been completed. In reality, this is just the first milestone. Now, comes the training to hone the details, perfect the energy, find the flow, and connect it all to the qi of the sky.
Thank you, Sigong.

It’s quite satisfying to finish the 28 Constellation Gong form – now it’s a matter of practice, practice, practice to get it hammered into place. Thank you very much Sigong. Peter Hogg🙏🏻

Thank you so much Sifu, 28 Constellation Gong is a very beautiful and powerful form. It feels very good to cover all the directions in many different ways. Vanessa

So helpful to see the whole form and catch the transitions between the parts — when we break it down we always stop in the same place and it’s easy to miss some details of the change. It was good to see that the second circle of the last figure 8 is really one half of the yin-yang symbol and that’s how we end up facing the front! Thanks Sigong for passing on a truly interesting Qigong form.

We finished 28 constellation. What a journey!
Some parts well traveled some others still need more visits and attention during our practice. The form is fantastic and brings many different energies together. Thank you Sigong! Seeing you demonstrate the whole form in one go has been really useful.

How satisfying it is to have finished and polished this wonderful form, rich in connection with the powerful energy of the stars which and we learned about so deeply in all the lectures and so energizing for our body too. I’ll miss these days of meeting online to learn, polish and practise together and you’ll all be ‘with’ me when I’m practising on my own. Thank you everyone, especially you, Sigong.😊🙏

Great to complete the form and clarify some of the tricky moves towards the end. There are a lot of directions changes in the form, so have to pay attention when practicing. Good for the brain! Thank you Sigong. Christine

Great to tidy up the last details for 28 Constellation Gong. What a journey learning this form has been, a really fascinating form, very physical, quite complicated and lots of culture and philosophy. An amazing experience, thank you Sifu. Peter A
