Seminar Nine of Biu Zi started with a Q&A session, where Grandmaster Tse opened the floor to any questions on Wing Chun. There were a variety of questions, some on finer points and specifics of Wing Chun, and others on martial arts in general. As always, Grandmaster Tse’s answers provided astute insights, and also provoked further thought and reflection.
Then the students reviewed Parts One and Two of Biu Zi, practising in groups, and refining movements already covered in previous seminars. Grandmaster Tse spent time clarifying and deepening their understanding, and correcting any errors. After that, Grandmaster Tse introduced the next sets of movements, building on what was previously learned. The students practised and explored these movements, stimulating further discussions and analyses of the form. They are no doubt looking forward to the next seminar.

Part 9 of the biu zi seminar was very insightful; a lot of detail in what felt like such a short time. I especially enjoyed when sijo invited any questions regarding wing chun.
Thank you to Sijo and my kung fu brothers and sisters for another amazing experience.

Biu Tze 9: It felt like we covered a lot today, we went through sections 1 and 2 in some good detail with some good questions clearing things up! Breakout rooms we worked together nicely and helped each other a lot — it was a really fun seminar after the break. Thanks Sigong for giving us the chance to ask anything and everything about Wing Chun!

Thank you Sigong, it’s great to work through Biu Zi in such detail. The breakout rooms in particular also helps bring up more questions from different viewpoints, things that you don’t always see the first time round. Sam
