Biu Zi Pt 2

It was a glorious afternoon with blue skies and sunshine, and with around 40 students in attendance it was clear to see how eager everyone was to start part 2 of the Wing Chun Biu Zi seminar.

It had seemed a while since the previous seminar and the anticipation of what the afternoon would bring was quite palpable.
Tai-Sigong (GM Tse) commenced the seminar with a discussion about the principles of Wing Chun which was incredibly insightful, leading everyone to understand how important the principles are, and how they translate over to the other forms. This is indeed very clever and well thought out!
The discussion then moved onto the use of energy and how control is also an integral part of Wing Chun; especially when training with your kung fu brothers and sisters.
Tai-Sigong broke down the form for us all, allowing everyone to be able to understand the movements and correct positions. We were put into breakout rooms to practice and discuss what we were shown. These rooms are a massive help in working out the movements and positions etc.
There were many questions throughout the afternoon and as usual Tai-Sigong has the aplomb to simplify the answers thus giving a deeper understanding and appreciation of why and how we apply certain movements, positions and applications. This applied to the use of fingers, elbows, footwork and so much more!
I’m sure that everyone enjoyed the seminar and went away with so much food for thought. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon and we all thoroughly enjoyed the Kowloon Restaurant story.
Thank you Tai-Sigong for your tutelage and thank you to everyone in the breakout rooms.

We’re a very animated bunch on this seminar and it’s great to hear everyone’s questions — you can really feel the hunger for knowledge! Thanks Sigong for passing on all the detail of the movements in section one! Lee B

Great to be back with this form – seems like ages since part 1!
I feel a lot of good circulation and heat in the joints of the fingers, wrists, elbows and shoulders. Wing Chun shows its wisdom in combining the martial and health aspects of training.
Thank you, Sigong.

Very much enjoying all the details in the Bui Zi seminars, thank you Sigong. There’s always so much more to learn when you look more deeper and it’s simply brilliant we can all do it together from all the different perspectives of many students with many questions. Sam
