Dragon Shadow Sword Pt 9

This is a form that is great for everyone, it is not as physically demanding as Green Dragon or White Crane with the long tassel and contains movements and postures not in Wudang sword.
In the beginning, Sigong explained how we need to train our Qi to be able to fight well. Our power comes from internal to external and we must be relaxed to be able to generate power and speed.
One of the advantages of break out rooms in zoom is watching each other and discussing differences in what we observed and then asking for clarification later. It’s amazing how we always miss little details, no matter how many times we watch Sigong, there’s always something we can improve on.
In the last workshop, we did quite a long section so it was really good to polish it again and learn a little about the application. Sometimes it’s not obvious what each posture can be used for but learning it can definitely help me remember the form and intent.
Thank you Sigong for sharing this form and I can’t wait to do more!

Great Dragon Shadow Sword seminar today! I enjoyed doing more kicking movements. Looking forward to next time. Thank you, Sigong. Best, Tom Hogg.

Enjoyed Sigong’s lecture on how training for health helps our fighting ability- especially how power and speed require internal relaxation, coordination and sensitivity. Thanks, Sigong! -Kay

Interesting to hear about martial arts for health and how we must make the movement coonect with the internal body. Valuable and funny story about the fishmonger turned distinguished soldier.
Enjoying the movements – today had a new flavour – always keeping it interesting!
Thank you Sigong.

Enjoyed the lecture on how to develop fighting skills whilst developing health too. The new movements are again unusual and fun to do! Thank you Sigong. Christine

Interesting new part with the jump together and the circles! My feet don’t want to be together when circling so I need to work on that. We had some good discussion in a breakout room on the correct position for Spiral Dragon Looks for the Cave, I don’t think there is a photo of that one anywhere in the whatsapp so far! Thanks Sigong!

Yet another enjoyable seminar today for Dragon Shadow Sword. I liked the story about the fisherman and turning negative things around to the positive. The new part today is very elegant with the circles. Looking forward to next time! Thanks very much Sigong. Peter Hogg

Enjoyed the Dragon Shadow sword today, lots of tricky movements to work on. The fishmonger story was very memorable too. Great seminar, thank you Sifu

I always enjoy learning about the duality of health and fighting; it’s what make the internal arts so fascinating. The form itself is energising to perform and we even got a glimpse of a jumping kick – very exciting, thank you Sigong. Sam

Beautiful moves in the sword form but I need to practise more. Video clips are very helpful .Thanks again Sifu
