“Inside the body is like fire when we Fā Jìn 發勁 – Release Power, it is so fast, like the sound of thunder, very loud, and we do not even have the time to cover our ears. When we attack, there is no need to think, no need to work out what is the best way, just attack when the enemy does not have time to prepare. All power and speed is based on regular practise. The internal power will develop and at the end reach a high level. Learning a good Kung Fu like Tàijíquán 太極拳, we must keep studying, gain more knowledge work things out and keep researching. Then we will get a good result.”
This means that Tàijíquán is a fighting skill that we need to practise regularly and keep learning and keep reading – particularly as nowadays there are a lot of books we can read and particularly the classical books. If you have a question, then you should ask your seniors and your Sīfú. Everything should make sense and work, and then we can really start to understand Tàijíquán.
