When he answers any question on Wing Chun, he not only give you the answer but always tells you the history behind it. He tells stories about his famous Kung Fu brothers Leung Sheung 梁相, Lok Yiu駱耀, Wong Shun Leung 黃淳樑, Tsui Shun Tin, Bruce Lee and even abut some brothers who were in the police force, like Tang San 鄧生. It was nice to learn the stories about the Wing Chun family as all of them have promoted Wing Chun so that is has reached all around the world and reached a good standard.
Whenever we had a problem with a technique, Sīfú would help us by demonstrating and teaching us how to defend ourselves. Once a student asked, “Sīfú, if someone punches at use really fast, what should we do?” Sīfú said, “Just keep two Wuh Sáu’s 護手 in the centre in front of you, one in front and the other behind. When they punch, your front Wuh Sáu blocks it and when they punch again, drop the front Wuh Sáu and move the rear Wuh Sáu forwards to replace the first one, so the Wuh Sáu’s come back up from the bottom and keep repeating.”
