Nine Colour Qi Ball pt 17

Nine Colour Rotating Qi Ball is a very interesting form. Through the practice of it, one can develop the ability to see the Qi and the colours associated with the different organs.
I am sure that every student wants to be able to see and better understand the Qi that flows through us and around us.

When we first started the form, I started to be able to feel more the Qi and also, through relaxation, to see the nuance of the Qi, although I could not see yet the colour. But I began to feel, as the form progressed, how the movements have a very interesting effect also on thinking and the ability to let go. This letting go allowed me to better understand the form and, in some moments, even to see colour.

Sifu began the seminar by explaining the role of the Yijing Bagua and how they relate to the organs and the colours of the Qi. It was very good to see the connections and to better understand the connections between the colours, the organs and each of the Gua. There is always more to learn and I was very glad that we could see how to connect more the principles with our own experience. Also, the descriptions that Sifu gave and how we can work on ourselves at seeing the colours was very helpful and encouraging for all students.

Afterwards, we began the form and went through the first part. This part helped a lot with the feeling and the ability to let go and I was very happy to see that I could now do this part with the right energy and without hesitating on any movement. This is particularly interesting because the movements involve complicated combinations. Yet, even though the movements seemed complicated at first, with time, they have become part of us and I can now feel how it clears the mind and allows me to be able to do the further parts even better.

The second part we did was the section with the first four Qi balls. As Sifu demonstrated this part, I could now see more clearly the energy in the movement and could practice it better. This, together with the letting go, is a very good feeling and I could practice the stepping now with the right energy and with the whole body.

In the third part, we covered the next five Qi balls and the stepping and movements for them in more detail. This was great to see because the second to last one was still quite difficult but now, seeing it again and being able to ask questions, it finally makes sense. The movements are harder than the first four and there are a lot of details that became apparent. This allowed me to better remember this part as well and to connect all the walks together.

After the three parts, we got to the last movements of the form. It’s such a great feeling to finish the form and to be able to now practice it fully. The last movements are very good and gives a great feeling of openness to the outside world and to bring the Qi to the palms and the upper body. The Qi is very strong at the end so it was great to feel how it is now complete. I will strive to practice Nine Colour Qi Ball as often as I can so I can see and understand more and continue developing the energy and the ability to relax the eyesight and the mind.

Thank you Sifu for teaching this great form and that I now can continue with it. Looking forward to the next seminar to polish more and see more.

Learning the last part of 9 colour Qi ball feels like reaching a new beginning and I’m very much looking forward to the polishing. Thank you too Sigong for an enlightening talk on colours. Sam

I knew we were getting near the end but was sad to have actually finished.

Today I saw a lot of things that made me ask questions which helped me feel differently when practicing and the last few moves also made my head tingle – need to practice more n relax more to see colours tho but that is what it’s all about isn’t it?

Thanks again as always Sigong for being our treasure holder and for your patience when teaching us. Sue

It was a fantastic lecture to start explanations about internal and external, the sky eye the time you practice what the effect it has on the organs and the time of day everything correlates with each other, again  very sad it’s the end of the form but one which will require a lot of practice in order to reach a good level, thank you Sigong for putting me on the road to a clearer mind, Earl
