Today we did our first Peaceful Calm meditation seminar the first of this year. We started with an enlightening Lecture by Grandmaster Tse on the fundamentals of the balance between movement and meditation in the practice of Qigong and the importance of doing both
regularly to increase the Qi in your body and calm the mind.
Grandmaster Tse then went on to teach us all the hand gestures, posture and the poem associated with todays meditation one of my favourite things about the Dayan system is the beautiful poetry that accompanies the forms and meditation practices.
We were then tested on the poem and enjoyed the blissful peace and calm feeling of
the peaceful calm meditation I can’t wait to feel that peaceful calm feeling again next time.

Thank you, Sifu, for the lecture. It put the basic principles of Qigong back into context. It is always good and very helpful to be reminded to go back to basics.
The practice left me feeling very relaxed, and it was good to clarify the details of the orchid hands, the posture and the distance of the hands to the body. I’m looking forward to the next seminar.

Thank you Sigong for this first Calm and Peaceful Meditation seminar in the series. Calm and peace something everybody needs a little bit more of, and as most good things, benefits from being cultivated with practice. Greatly looking forward to continuing this journey to find a little more balance. Sam

Interesting lecture on the basics of why we do movement and meditation. It helped to to get a bird’s eye perspective on things. It is easy to think of the basics as less important, but in reality they are the foundation of our skill and need to be firm if we want to build higher. Thank you, Sigong. Paul Hogg
