Insomnia
Part 8
We need to sit on the chair in a good position. The body is straight so that the Bǎihuì 百 and Huìyīn 會陰 points are vertically in line, our feet are on the floor and our hands are relaxed on our thighs. We relax from the top of the head down to the waist and that then let everything happen naturally. Now the Qì 氣 will flow through the body to balance it and heal any problems that we have. It clears our mind and all kinds of thoughts that might come up. Any thoughts or any worries, just let it all happen and just maintain the proper posture, keep the body relaxed and breathe through the nose. Do not worry about anything, just keep relaxed and carry on meditating up until the point all the worries, all the thoughts and any discomfort eases. Do not let them bother you, just keep relaxed. Sometimes, we might have strange thoughts, and see images which are sometimes like a dream. Again, let all these things happen, and then eventually you might start to fall asleep. If this is the case then you’re insomnia is easing and getting better. Practise regularly and at the end you will be able sleep. You will be able to sleep when you are tired and even sleep whenever you want, and then you do not have insomnia anymore. However, we must remember we must not fall back into the kind of lifestyle that caused the insomnia in the first place.
