Wú Wǒ Xiāng 無我相
Part 2
To let go of ourselves to the point that we do not exist is a very hard thing to do. As human beings, we have seven emotions: happiness, anger, sadness, fear, love, hate and passion, and we have six senses: our eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind. Everything we do, everything we are is based on these emotions and senses, and they shape how we are as a human being. However, if we want to reach a high level of a human being, we need to let go of these things so that they are not important, otherwise the emotions and the senses will give us pleasure and also problems. It is not until we can let go of these things and not take them seriously and even let go of ourselves so that we become Wú Wǒ Xiāng 無我相 – no self, can we reach a high level. If we can do this, then we will reach another level, Wú Rén Xiāng 無人相. Rén人 means people and Wú Rén Xiāng literally means No People’s Face. No matter who they are, they will not affect us and whatever they do, if they love us or hate us, it is not important and does not affect us. If you do not exist, then other people do not exist and you will teach another level.
