28 Constellations
Part 8
The 7th Northern constellation is Xuánwǔ 玄武. This is the Snake and the Turtle, where the two animals spiral together (like this year 2025, is the Year of the Snake). The Snake and the Turtle are both spiritual animals who are very careful and do not show themselves very often and do things very slowly, they do not react until they know what they want. The 7th Constellation is Dǒu 斗, Niú 牛, Nǚ 女, Xū 虛, Wēi 危, Shì 室, Bì 壁, the first constellation is Dǒu 斗, which is the Southern Dipper, opposite the Northern Dipper (Dig Dipper). There are six stars, but the shape is like the Big Dipper and is the head of the Snake and Turtle, and in Western Astrology, it is the sign of Sagittarius. Niú and Nǚ are together. Niú is a boy who looks after cattle, but not like a western cowboy. This boy is a teenager whose job is looking after a herd of cattle. Nǚ means a girl or lady. The boy and girl fall in love, however the girl is from heaven and is an immortal, and so heaven does not allow them to be together, as she is the daughter of the Emperor of Heaven.
