Part 20
The first of the seven constellations in the the Nán Fāng Zhū Què 南方朱雀 – Southern Red Pheonix is Jǐng 井, which means well. Whenever people gather and want to stay there, they need water and after a river, waterfall or pond a well is best way to get water. So, wherever there is a well, people will gather there and then will start to create a group and enjoy living in a group. So, if the Jǐng star is bright, then the people living there will be happy and have a good life. Of course, this relates to China a country. If the star is weak, then there will be problems and war within the country. It is part of the Gemini in Western Astrology. It has eight stars around it that create the Chinese character for well 井.
