The ending, where we close thumb is very important, we must do it quickly and with Faat Gihng 發勁 – Release Power. First, we must withdraw the fingers one by one, and this will make the fingers strong and also the fist, it is good for the Pek 劈 – Chop and the Laap Sáu 擸手 – Grasping Hand. Healthwise, it is good to have strong fingers because in Chinese Medicine, each finger relates to the internal organs, the little finger relates to the kidneys, the ring finger to the lungs, the middle finger to the heart, the index finger to the liver and the thumb to the spleen also, In the Jingluo 經絡 the thumb relates to the Shǒu Tài Yīn Fèi Jīng 手太陰肺經 – Hand More Yīn Lung Jīng. The middle finger relates to the Shǒu Jué Yīn Xīnbāo Jīng 手厥陰心包經 – Hand End of Yīn Pericardium Jīng and the Shǒu Shǎo Yīn Xīn Jīng 手少陰心經 – Hand Little Yīn Heart Jīng. The little finger relates to the Shǒu Tài Yáng Xiǎocháng Jīng 手太陽小腸經 – Hand More Yang Small Intestine Jīng, the ring finger Shǒu Shǎo Yīn Xīnjīng 手少陰心經 – Hand Little Yīn Heart Jīng. The index finger relates to the Shǒu Shǎo Yáng Sānjiāo Jīng 手少陽三焦經 – Hand Little Yang Triple Warmer Jīng. So, all together there are six channels on the fingers, three Yīn and three Yáng.
