Advanced Level of Sahp Sīng Bouh 十星步 - Ten Star Footwork
Part 15
So, when our opponent grabs hold of a hand and pulls us wanting to strike us, we can step in with Jeun Máh 進馬 – Forward Step, to follow their energy, and then turn the hand that has been grabbed up into a Tāan Sáu 攤手 – Opening Hand. This neutralises is their pulling and also locks their wrist. We can then change our Tāan Sáu into Jihk Jéung 直掌 – Straight palm to strike them.
In another situation, the opponent might pull our front hand down a little bit. In this case we can use Jeun Máh to follow their energy and then Díng Jāang 頂踭 – Strike Against Elbow , to strike their chest. The power from the Jeun Máh added the power from their pulling, will make our Díng Jāang very strong, and it can easily knock them back.
If they are so strong that you cannot use Tāan Sáu or Díng Jāang, then you can still step with Jeun Máh and use your shoulder to strike them instead. This is also very powerful.
Finally, if they are so strong, step forwards with Jeun Máh and then strike them with your other hand!
